“Who rescued who? “ The universe has a way of providing at a time when it was the least expected but most needed. Pepper, a 6 to 8 year old flat coat retriever rescue came into our lives following the death of our beloved flat coat retriever Hawkeye. Pepper then served for 9 months as a loyal and constant companion to my partner prior to his death. I was so incredibly grateful to have her in my life following that loss as well as during all of life’s challenges and joys.
Pepper loved our regular walks in the neighborhood and in the woods. She loved greeting neighbors and hanging out in the yard rolling on her back to allow the sun to greet her belly with her signature priceless smile. I miss her dearly and she will forever hold a special place in my heart.
It is with heartfelt gratitude, respect and awe that I wish to thank Dr. Carrie and her team (thank you Autumn!) for the kind and compassionate care that was provided during Pepper’s life and passage to the next realm. It was a gift that will be remembered always!
